I love love love this print! I’ve been wanting to make something with this fabric for so long! I just found out my niece is having a baby boy so today’s the day! I have enough fabric to make a few more so I also listed it on my ETSY.
This was seriously fun to make. I used an old vintage toy pattern and some of my favorite retro fabrics. This little plaid donkey will be my inspiration for my next applique projects.

I made this for Sophie’s toddler bed from a pattern in McCall’s Quick Quilts magazine. It’s called Dollies Day Out. The doll fabric is the ‘Paper Dolls’ collection by Windham Fabrics. I hand embroidered the dolls on, did a ruffle instead of binding and used my own fabric choices. Looks awesome on her bed!
The perfect nursery decoration. I love how pretty vintage books look displayed in coordinating colors. Yesterday Sophie asked for a book for her birthday. Not any specific book, just a book. I’m so thankful she didn’t ask for a video game system or the new iPhone. She’s been surrounded by books since she was born. We have successfully produced a beautiful little bookworm.
