I love love love this print! I’ve been wanting to make something with this fabric for so long! I just found out my niece is having a baby boy so today’s the day! I have enough fabric to make a few more so I also listed it on my ETSY.
This was seriously fun to make. I used an old vintage toy pattern and some of my favorite retro fabrics. This little plaid donkey will be my inspiration for my next applique projects.
Best vintage toy ever! This was one of my favorite toys when I was little. The animals that go with it are way cool too. I noticed vintage Fisher Price toys are super easy to find. They are all over online market places like Ebay and Etsy for very reasonable prices. I saw Fisher Price brought back some of the older toys like the TV and record player which they sell in Target for way to much money. They even make a newer version of the farm, no where as cool as the original though.
I made this for Sophie’s toddler bed from a pattern in McCall’s Quick Quilts magazine. It’s called Dollies Day Out. The doll fabric is the ‘Paper Dolls’ collection by Windham Fabrics. I hand embroidered the dolls on, did a ruffle instead of binding and used my own fabric choices. Looks awesome on her bed!
The perfect nursery decoration. I love how pretty vintage books look displayed in coordinating colors. Yesterday Sophie asked for a book for her birthday. Not any specific book, just a book. I’m so thankful she didn’t ask for a video game system or the new iPhone. She’s been surrounded by books since she was born. We have successfully produced a beautiful little bookworm.
Sophie would love this book! I bet I can find a copy.
A vintage style tutu would be perfect for Sophie to wear to her ballerina party.
